Asus Now Launches ZenFone 4 Selfie Lite with 13MP Front & Rear Cameras

Last month, Asus has launched the Zenfone 4 Selfie, Zenfone 4 Selfie Dual Camera, and Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro smartphone in India. All these smartphones are exclusive to Flipkart and come with the selfie-focused features. Apart from the Zenfone 4 Selfie, the other two devices feature dual camera setup on the front. Now, the Zenfone 4 Selfie is made available in the Philippines as Zenfone 4 Selfie Lite. Apart from the change in the name, rest of the details remain same as the Zenfone 4 Selfie launched in India. Asus is yet to reveal the pricing and availability details of the device.

The Zenfone 4 Selfie is currently retailing in India for Rs. 9,999. Talking about the Zenfone 4 Selfie Lite, it sports a 5.5-inch HD (1280 × 720 pixels) IPS display with a 2.5D curved glass laid on top. Under the hood is the 1.4GHz Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU. The device includes 2GB of RAM and comes in 16GB and 32GB storage options. There is also a dedicated MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage technically up to 2TB. The variant launched in India came with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

In terms of optics, there is a 13MP sensor on the rear with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, EIS, and LED flash. For selfies, there is another 13MP sensor on the front with f/2.0 aperture and softlight LED flash. The devices is backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery and measures 7.85 mm thick. The physical home button placed beneath the display comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, FM Radio, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port.

It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat based Zen UI 4.0 out of the box. On the other hand, the Zenfone 4 Selfie Dual was actually announced as Zenfone 4 Selfie during the Computex 2017 event held in Taipei, Taiwan. Apart from half a dozen Zenfone 4 Selfie smartphones, the company also launched the Zenfone 4, Zenfone 4 Pro, Zenfone 4 Max, Zenfone 4 Max Pro smartphones. While the selfie-centric devices came with dual front cameras, all the other Zenfone 4 smartphones feature dual camera setup on the rear.
