Upcoming BlackBerry Motion with All-touchscreen Leaked in a Press Render

You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

A few weeks back, we have seen a couple of leaks mentioning about a new Blackberry smartphone with a full touchscreen to launch in October. It is then rumored to be called as Blackberry Krypton. Now, Evan Blass posted a press render of the device and mentioned it to be launched as Blackberry Motion. We expect the Krypton to be the codename for the Motion. It comes with a metal frame and sports a full touchscreen on the front.

While the top bezel holds the earpiece, front camera, and a bunch of sensors, the big bottom bezel only sports a physical home button that might also come with an integrated fingerprint sensor. The Blackberry KeyOne launched in the first half of 2017 came with a 4.5-inch display offering 3:2 aspect ratio. Now, the upcoming Blackberry Motion might offer the regular 16:9 aspect ratio while the other manufacturers are launching smartphones with 16:9 aspect ratio.

On the right edge of the device, we can spot the volume rocker and power button. Unlike on the Blackberry KeyOne, the customisable BlackBerry Convenience Key with textured finish is also placed on the right edge of the device. While there is no exact launch date mentioned, it is expected to be officially launched in the month of October. Based on the earlier leaks, the device will be IP67 certified which means it is water and dust resistant.

The display will be coming with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display. Under the hood, it will be powered by Snapdragon 625/626 octa-core processor. The device packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Since the Android Oreo is already released, the device might come with the Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. On top of the Android, the device will also include Blackberry services like DTEK and Blackberry Hub.

It comes backed by a 4,000mAh battery and might also support Quick Charging. Just like the Blackberry Keyone, the Motion will be manufactured by China-based TCL and will be available globally accept the Indian sub-continent and Indonesia. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
