Top 10 Reasons to Buy Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1
Last month, Asus launched the all-new Zenfone Max Pro M1 in the India market. While there is already a fierce competition in the budget segment in India, the Zenfone Max Pro outperform many other devices with its best in class specifications and aggressive price tag. Below are the top 10 reasons to buy the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 over other smartphones in its price range.
1. Dual VoLTE
While the majority of the smartphones these days support VoLTE, their secondary SIM is limited to the 3G network. While there are a couple of high-end smartphones that offer dual VoLTE support, the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 is the first budget smartphone to introduce this feature. With the dual VoLTE functionality, the users can simultaneously connect two 4G VoLTE networks, without the need to switch to one particular sim manually.
2. Triple Card Slot
Another interesting feature of the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 is the triple card slot. Users can insert two nano SIM cards along with a Micro SD card. On most other smartphones, there will be a hybrid SIM card slot where the user has to choose between the secondary SIM or the MicroSD card. These small features make a big difference in the overall usage of the device. No one wants to limit the storage on their device, at least in 2018.
3. Snapdragon 636
The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 comes with powerful 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Mobile Platform. It packs the custom Kryo 260 CPU that offers up to 40% higher performance than its predecessor. The chipset also sports the Adreno 509 GPU to look after the graphical performance of the ZenFone Max Pro M1.
4. Dual Rear Cameras
Talking about the camera, there are dual rear cameras on the ZenFone Max Pro M1. While the primary 13MP sensor comes with 1.12μm pixel size and f/2.2 aperture, the secondary 5MP sensor offers 1.12μm pixel size and f/2.4 aperture. The device supports portrait mode which uses the secondary sensor to measure the depth in the image for perfect blur effect.
5. Stock Android
We have seen many manufacturers opting for stock Android in 2018. Asus also joins the list with the new ZenFone Max Pro M1. It is the company’s first ever smartphone to come with the stock Android instead of the in-house Zen UI. It runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and there isn’t much bloatware. With the stock Android, the manufacturer can release the monthly security patches and major OS updates. Asus also promised to give Android P and Android Q updates for this device.
6. 5000mAh Battery
The ZenFone Max Pro M1 measures 8.46mm thick and weigh 180 grams, but it comes equipped with a huge 5,000mAh battery. With such a large battery, the device can easily last up to 1.5 days and if you aren’t an intensive user, the battery can easily last up to 2 days. It even supports fast charging with the 5V/2A (10W) power adapter provided within the package. According to the company, ZenFone Max Pro M1 gives up to 199hrs of music playback, 42 hours of talk-time and lasts up to 35 days on standby mode.
7. Face Unlock
On the rear of the ZenFone Max Pro M1, the user can find the circular fingerprint sensor. However, the device also supports face unlock to securely unlock the device by just looking at the front camera. The face unlock feature is not available out of the box, but the company mentioned it to be made available with the OTA update.
8. 18:9 Aspect Ratio + High Contrast Ratio
Much like majority other smartphones launched in 2018, the new ZenFone Max Pro M1 also sports the 18:9 aspect ratio. The device sports a 5.99-inch IPS display with Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 450 nits brightness. Even with the large 5.99-inch display, the ZenFone Max Pro M1 measures same as the standard 5.5-inch smartphones. While the other smartphones offer 1000:1 contrast ratio, the display on the ZenFone Max Pro M1 comes with 1500:1 contrast ratio.
9. 5-Magnet Speaker + Max Box
The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 also sports a bottom firing 5-magnet loudspeaker. It also includes 2nd-gen NXP Smart amplifier to offer rich audio experience. Asus is also bundling the passive amplifier accessory called “Max Box” with the device. The user can place the ZenFone Max Pro M1 on this Max Box to double the audio volume. However, it only convenient for listening to music and not for watching videos.
10. Launch Offers
The base variant of the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 is priced very aggressively at Rs. 10,999. The sales will begin on May 3rd exclusively on Flipkart and comes with several launch offers. The users can avail Flipkart’s all-new “Complete Mobile Protection” plan for a special price of just Rs. 49. There is no cost EMI for 12 months and Rs. 1,000 extra value on regular exchange price.
