Google Pixel 3 XL with Notch Display & Two-Tone Glass Body Leaked in Live Images
In the second half of 2018, Google will be announcing the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones. Both these devices will be the successors to last year’s Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. Based on the rumors, the Android P will also make its public debit with these devices. Now, the live images of the Pixel 3 XL are leaked online. From the above-featured image, we can see the Pixel 3 XL with the notch display and relatively thicker bottom chin.
The Pixel 3 XL might become the first device with notch display to offer front-facing speaker. This doesn’t come as a surprise since Google as added OS-level support for notch displays. Most probably, we might be looking at 6+ inch AMOLED display with 19:9 aspect ratio. The power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge of the device.
Unlike other smartphones like LG G7 ThinQ, there is no dedicated hardware button for Google Assistant. Instead, the Pixel 3 XL will include the Active Edge squeeze feature to trigger the Google Assistant. Coming to the rear, the device comes with an all-glass body. However, it still offers the two-tone finish as seen on the Pixel and Pixel 2 devices.
Google is still opting for the single rear camera when the market is filled with dual cameras smartphones. Even the Pixel 2 with the single 12.2MP rear camera has done wonders. Google’s HDR+ algorithm has been the strength of Pixel 2’s camera and it might continue to depend on it even for the upcoming Pixel smartphones.
While there is no 3.5mm audio jack, the USB Type-C port can be seen on the bottom edge. There is also a circular fingerprint sensor on the rear. Since the device is still in prototype stage, there might be some changes in the final variant. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
