Huawei P-series Sales Grow by 81%, Sells 6 Million P20 Series Smartphones Worldwide
Huawei sells its flagship smartphones under the Mate and P series. The new Mate series devices will be unveiled in the second half of every year and carry the new flagship HiSilicon processor. Coming to the P-series, it will be announced in the first half and features innovations in the smartphone camera technology. For both these series, the company has been collaborating with Leica to tune the cameras.
The Huawei P20 and P20 Pro launched in the first half of this year have been listed as top two smartphones with best cameras by DxOMark. The Huawei P20 Pro even came with tripe camera setup on the rear featuring 40MP RGB sensor, 20MP monochrome sensor, and an 8MP telephoto sensor. Unlike other Chinese smartphone brands, Huawei also has a decent market share in the European countries.
Now, the company has revealed that they have sold 6 million units of P20 & P20 Pro smartphones worldwide. It is said to be a whopping 81% growth when compared to the sales of previous-gen smartphones that includes Huawei P10 and P10 Plus. The Huawei P20 Pro is also mentioned as the company’s best-selling smartphone in Western Europe. The lack of support from US government made the company focus on the European market.
As of now, there is no information about the sales numbers of the budget smartphones from Huawei. It currently occupies the third place in the list of world’s largest smartphone markers. While Xiaomi already set its foot in half a dozen European markets, OPPO will soon start selling its smartphones.
