Samsung Galaxy A9 Star & Galaxy A9 Star Lite Smartphones Are Now Official
Samsung is long rumored to unveil the Galaxy A9 star smartphones in China. Today, the company has officially unveiled the Samsung Galaxy A9 Star & Galaxy A9 Star Lite smartphones. While the Galaxy A9 Star is an all-new device, the Galaxy A9 Star Lite is actually the same Galaxy A6+ which was introduced last month in India. Both the devices come with Infinity displays and dual rear cameras.
Talking about the Galaxy A9 Star, it sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ (2220 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED Infinity display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it comes powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform coupled with Kryo 260 CPU and Adreno 512 GPU. It packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be further expanded by adding a MicroSD card.
In terms of camera, the Galaxy A9 Star sports 24MP + 16MP dual cameras on the rear and a single 24MP selfie camera on the front. It is backed by a 3,700mAh non-removable battery and supports fast charging. The device measures 162.4 × 77.0 × 7.55 mm and weighs 188 grams. On the other hand, the Galaxy A9 Star Lite comes with a smaller 6-inch Super AMOLED Infinity display with the same Full HD+ resolution.
It is backed by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Mobile Platform coupled with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB of RAM. There is 64GB of internal storage on this device and can be expandable up to 256GB via a MicroSD card. The Galaxy A9 Star Lite sports 16MP + 5MP dual cameras on the rear. For selfies, it comes with the same 24MP front camera as seen on the Galaxy A9 Star.
Both the devices support dual SIM dual standby and run on Android 8.0 Oreo with Samsung Experience UI laid on top. With the smaller screen size, the Galaxy A9 Star Lite comes with a smaller 3,500mAh battery. While the Galaxy A9 Star comes in Black and White color options, the Galaxy A9 Star Lite will be available in Black and Blue color options. Coming to the pricing, the Galaxy A9 Star and A9 Star Lite will be costing 3699 Yuan and 2699 Yuan respectively.
