Xiaomi 3-axis Smartphone Gimbal with 5000mAh Battery Launched at Rs 6,300

Xiaomi had earlier launched the camera with an attached gimbal as an accessory for the Ninebot Plus. Later, its sub-brand Mijia launched the 3-axis gimbal specifically for its affordable 4K action camera. While there are several handheld gimbals available in the market, till date Xiaomi hasn’t launched any gimbal for the smartphones. However, today the company has officially unveiled the Mijia-branded gimbal for the smartphones.

On the design front, this new gimbal looks similar to the one launched earlier for the action camera. It is priced at 599 Yuan (approx $93 / Rs 6300) and will be on sale in China starting June 16th. The new Mijia gimbal offers 3-axis stabilization to devices smartphone and action cameras. It includes high precision attitude sensors and full closure servo system for real-time stabilization with 0.03-degree accuracy.

However, the smartphone can have a maximum width of 86mm and weight of 200 grams.  It can be used for time-lapse photography by pairing with the app. There is also an option to quickly turn on the selfie mode. The gimbal can auto follow the selected subject just like other best-selling gimbals. Once the subject is selected in the app, the gimbal can follow it 360-degrees. It comes with a built-in 5,000mAh battery that can last up to 16 hours.

The gimbal can also be used for charging the smartphone and supports up to 5V/1.5A output. With a large battery and polycarbonate shell, the Mijia handheld gimbal weighs 476 grams. On the bottom edge, it also got a 1/4-inch standard screw for attaching to other accessories like a tripod. Unlike the earlier launched gimbals, we hope Xiaomi doesn’t limit this new Mijia gimbal just for the Chinese market. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
