Xiaomi Launches PetBit, FitBit for Pets with 30 Days Battery Life

While FitBit with its pure focus on the wearable market has launched excellent fitness trackers, Xiaomi toppled it from the top position by selling $25 fitness trackers. Now, Xiaomi seems to have entered the wearable market for pets by launching the PetBit (Fitbit for Pets?). It is priced at 199 Yuan and is currently listed on Xiaomi’s crowdfunding platform.

The PetBit can be attached to the harness or neck belt of your pet dog. While there are many location finding devices, the PetBit offers several other options. One interesting feature is the QR code on the PetBit which includes the owner’s information. If you lost your dog, anyone who found it can simply scan the QR code to find the owner’s details.

It offers 30-days of battery life and is also waterproof with the IPX7 certification. The built-in GPS also gives accurate location data of your pet. It uses the Narrowband IoT  (NB-IoT) technology for location details and offering intelligent power saving mode. It also got a Blue LED light which continuously flashes to help find your pet even at night.

The users can also share their pets fitness data and other details with other users in the PetBit community.  The PetBit can calculate fitness details like walking time, distance, and calories burnt. It comes in Silver/White and Graphite/Black color options. The device measures 5.04 x 4.6 x 1.83 cm and weighs 26 grams. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
