Ivvi is the sub-brand of Coolpad which is now owned by LeEco. Coolpad is one of the major OEM’s in China and is in the smartphone business for more than a decade. But in the recent years, the sales of their own brands have gone down when compared to newly established brands. Last year, LeEco brought a minor share in the company and in 2016, it had increased the investment making it the major shareholder.

Unlike Coolpad smartphones, Ivvi branded devices are majorly available through online stores. In April 2016, it had launched its latest mid-range device Ivvi i3 powered by Snapdragon 430 chipset and 4GB of RAM. It is well known for the Ivvi K1 Mini which is touted as the world’s most slimmest smartphone by measuring just 4.7mm thickness. Now the company is gearing up to launch a new smartphone called Ivvi Max.

The company is teasing the launch of this new device in China and is expected to be made official in the coming weeks. We know have specifications and the first look of the device, all thanks to the TENAA listing. It comes with an all metal body but lacks the fingerprint sensor. The device sports a 5.5-inch display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is an unknown quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz.

The device still runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with customized UI on top, whereas the Android 7.0 Nougat will be launched in the next month.

In the camera department, there is a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies. The dual SIM device also offers 4G LTE along with VoLTE support. It is backed by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery that can easily last more than a day of usage. The Ivvi Max measures 155 x 76 x 8 mm and weighs 177.6 grams. The listing also mentioned the device to come only in Gold color option.
