LYF Water 9 with MediaTek MT6753 SoC & 2GB RAM to Launch Soon

Reliance Jio has opened up the Jio Preview Offer for all the VoLTE supported devices. While the fast growth of LYF smartphones is all depended on the Jio Preview Offer which is exclusive to LYF devices until last month. Later, the company extended the JPO for Samsung and LG devices and is now open for all brands. The LYF Flame 3, Flame 4, Flame 5, and Flame 6 are the most affordable 4G VoLTE smartphones available in the market. But LYF smartphones under the Wind, Earth, and Water series aren’t that impressive considering the higher price tag with not so impressive specifications.

While the Jio 4G commercial launch is expected to happen in the next few weeks, LYF is also launching few new handsets. The company will launch the LYF Water 9 smartphone by the end of this month. It is rebranded version of Haier V4, and even all the LYF smartphones are the rebranded variants of Chinese brands. The device is expected to be priced around Rs. 10,000 price range and comes with a polycarbonate body. As seen with the earlier launched LYF smartphone, the Water 9 also comes with  Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.

It sports a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920x 1080 pixels) display and is protected by 2.5D Dragontrail glass on top. Under the hood, the Water 9 is powered by MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor clocked at 1.3Ghz. The device includes 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage that can be expanded via MicroSD card slot. In the camera department, the device packs a 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash and a 5MP front camera. LYF is also offering one year additional manufacturer warranty on top of the basic one year warrant.

The device is kept powered on by a 2800mAh battery which may give a day of battery life. Recently the company launched the LYF Wind 7 and Flame 7 smartphones priced at Rs. 6,999 and Rs. 3,499 respectively. Stay tuned for more details!
