Samsung & Jio to offer 3 months Free Unlimited Calls & Data on these 48 Smartphones
Now that Jio has taken up more aggressive steps against the current telecom operators, we can see more offers coming up on a daily basis. The latest one includes to all the Samsung & the LG Smartphone owners who are getting a Free SIM Card along with the Jio Preview Offer. Do check out the Airtel Vs Jio Preview Offer Table to know more about the recent offerings.
Followed is a list of 48 Smartphones that Jio is officially accepting before issuing the Free SIM Cards.
Earlier, the only way to get Jio 4G SIM is to buy an LYF smartphone. Since the company hasn’t commercially launched its Jio 4G services, there is no other way to get the Jio 4G SIM with preview offer offering unlimited 4G data, calls, and messages. The validity of this preview offer is only three months and may be extended till the commercial launch of the service. Now Samsung had partnered with Reliance to offer the free Jio SIM card with unlimited preview offer along with selected Galaxy range devices.
Samsung hasn’t limited this offer just for new customers; the existing customers also get the chance to avail the free Jio 4G SIM card. Apart from the data and calls, the preview offers also include the premium access to the Jio Play, JioOnDemand, JioBeats, JioMags, and JioDrive apps. But unlike LYF smartphones, not all the Samsung Galaxy devices comes with Jio preview offers. Below mentioned 13 high-end smartphones are only applicable to get the Jio SIM for free along with the unlimited benefits for the next three months from the date of SIM card activation.
- Samsung Galaxy A5 2015
- Samsung Galaxy A7 2015
- Samsung Galaxy A5 2016
- Samsung Galaxy A7 2016
- Samsung Galaxy A8
- Samsung Galaxy Note 4
- Samsung Galaxy Note 5 (Single & Dual SIM variants)
- Samsung Galaxy Note Edge

- Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge
The users need to download the MyJio app from the PlayStore and need to hit the “Get Jio Sim” on the home screen. Once the offer is confirmed for your device, the SIM can be brought from the nearby Reliance Digital store. Since the Mobile Number Portability (MNP) for Jio is not yet active, the users will be getting a new SIM. Sadly, most of the above mentioned devices come with hybrid SIM slot where the user can use both the SIM’s but need to sacrifice the MicroSD card. The users with the single SIM variant of Galaxy Note 5 might opt either for their primary SIM or the new Jio SIM.
Jio is also gearing up for the public launch of their 4G services, though there is no official confirmation, few sources mentioned the launch date as August 15th. In case, any of your Jio SIM is stopped at 2GB internet usage limit, you need to download and install all the Jio apps to get the unlimited usage of 4G data. Stay tuned for more updates!
