Xiaomi Redmi 3S & Redmi 3S Prime with 13MP Camera & 4100mAh Battery Launched in India
After launching the successful Redmi Note 3 in India, now Xiaomi came up with the affordable Redmi 3S smartphone. The device was first launched in June in China as the upgraded version to the Redmi 3 and Redmi 3 Pro. As seen in China, the device will be also available in two variants with 2GB and 3GB of RAM. It will be available exclusively through Flipkart and Mi.com starting from August 9th.
Just like the Redmi 3 Note, the Redmi 3S also come with a metal body and sports a 5-inch HD on the front. Under the hood is the 1.4GHz Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor while the Redmi 3 and Redmi 3 Pro came with Snapdragon 616 processor. The 2GB variant comes with 16GB of storage while the 3GB variant includes 32GB storage.
Both the storage variants include MicroSD card slot for storage expansion. Even at this price range, the company is offering a fingerprint sensor that is placed on the rear of the device. Talking about to the camera, there is a 13MP rear camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and PDAF for fast focusing, while on the fornt is a 5MP senor with an aperture of f/2.2.
The Redmi 3S is powered by a 4,100mAh non-removable battery that can last at least a day of usage. It measures 139.3 x 69.6 x 8.5 mm and weighs 144 grams. The device supports dual SIM dual standby with the hydrid SIM slot where the user can choose between the secondary SIM and the MicroSD card. While the device is available in Gold, Gray, and Silver colors in China; but in India, it is only limited to Gold and Silver. Stay tuned more updates!
