Airtel offers 10 GB 4G Data for Rs. 259 when purchasing any new 4G Mobile Handset

With the launch of Jio 4G services here in India, if you thought that the telecom wars are over, then you are probably wrong. Since then, we have been seeing a lot of new plans and services being offered by the telecom service providers. We saw some new or renewed plans from service providers like Vodafone, Idea, etc. And now on the same lines, we have something new from Airtel yet again. And this one is an interesting one.

Bharti Airtel (“Airtel”), India’s leading telecommunications services provider, today announced an exciting data offer for all customers purchasing a new 4G mobile handset. Airtel is offering 10 GB 4G/3G data on a recharge of Rs. 259 along with any new 4G handset. Yes, you read that right. 1 GB data will be instantly credited to the customer’s account and the additional 9 GB data can be claimed by the customer through MyAirtel App.

Do make a note that the data will be valid for 28 days. Users can avail a maximum of 3 recharges within 90 days, on the offer. This is very similar to what the company earlier announced in Gujarat Circle. According to the previously announced plan, the company offered the same 10GB data to users there for just 249 INR. And do make a note here again that the offer was valid on any new 4G Handsets which they purchase.

And just like this one as mentioned earlier, users will be credited 1GB of data instantly and the remaining 9GB could be claimed anytime with just an SMS. So essentially the same offer, which was introduced in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh last week, has now been extended across India and is available across all brands of 4G handsets.

If you are looking to buy a new 4G enabled smartphone, then this might be something you should be on the lookout for. However, we doubt if this offer stands anywhere near the Jio Welcome offer. With Jio Welcome offer, users essentially get free unlimited data till 31st of December. However, there also there is a data cap of 4GB per day, post which the speeds will be comparatively less. But you can’t argue, as you getting unlimited free calls across the country.

And as far as this Airtel offer is concerned, Airtel 4G is currently available in 18 circles across India. In non-4G circles, 3G data will be available to customers with their 4G devices. Pack Prices may vary from circle to circle. Offer on 4G handsets only and can be availed within 30 days of purchase of the handset.
