Gionee Big Magic Smartphone (M6 Mini) with 4000mAh Battery Launched in China

A couple of months back, a new Gionee smartphone with the model number GN5003 is spotted on TENAA website. Now the device is officially launched in China as Gionee Big magic (M6 Mini). It is the third device in the M6 series next to the Gionee M6 and M6 Plus that are launched in July this year. Compared to M6 & M6 Plus, the M6 Mini comes with a different design. It also lacks the fingerprint sensor which is available on other two devices in this series. The Gionee Big Magic (a.k.a M6 Mini) is priced at 1499 Yuan and is already on sale via online and offline stores in China.

It supports duplicate apps where the users can have two WeChat accounts on the same device. This feature comes built-in with the Xiaomi’s MIUI 8, where it is called as ‘Dual Apps.’ The M6 Mini comes with a metal build body with chamfered edges. Talking about the specifications, there is a 5.3-inch In-cell display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is a 64-bit MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz along with Mali T860 GPU. At this price, the M6 Mini also offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded additionally upto 128GB.

It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with highly customised Amigo 3.5 UI laid on top. For photos and videos, Gionee offers a 13MP rear camera with PDAF and while the 5MP front camera handles the selfie captures. With all those specifications, the device can easly give more than a day of usage with the massive 4,000mAh battery. According to the listing, the device can give 38.6 hours of talk time and lasts upto 544.7 hours on standby. The company also launched smartphones with even bigger batteries, the recently launched Gionee M6 & M6 Plus came with 5,000mAh & 6,020mAh capacity batteries respectively.

The M6 Mini measures 8.2 mm thickness and weighs 170 grams with that beefy battery. Connectivty options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 , GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. With the IR blaster on the top edge of the device, users can control home appliances like TV and AC just like a remote controller. Last week, Gionee launched its latest high-end smartphone Gionee S6 Pro in India. It is priced at Rs. 23,999 and supports VR headset that additionally costs rs. 2,499. It is launched as the successor to the Gionee S6s. It comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display and Helio P10 octa-core processor.

The device packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded upto 128GB with the provided MicroSD card slot. It came witha 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP selfie camera. The fingerprint sensor is embedded into the physical home button on the front. Unlike the M6 Mini, the Gionee S6 Pro supports dual SIM with the help of hybrid SIM slot where the user can use either a secondary SIM or a MicroSD card. It supports 4G VoLTE and can be used with Jio 4G SIM. The device is already available in the market in Gold and Rose Gold color variants.
