Past few years have been very rough for Nokia as a company, and it is expected that they will be making a comeback in the industry with some new offerings to the market. And when you talk about the smartphone launches from the company, it is expected that the company will be launching two new smartphones in coming months. We have already covered quite a few rumours about the same, so let’s just hope we do get something here.

But now according to new reports, the company will be present at the MWC 2017 show floor. The same has been confirmed by the company’s official twitter handle where it was posted that Nokia will be present at the MWC 2017 fair. Confirming the same, it was also reported that the company’s CEO Rajeev Suri will deliver a keynote as well. So looking at all this info, it looks like that will indeed announce something but now it’s just a matter of time until we see what we get here.

It is expected that they might launch something else other than a smartphone. So it could be a tablet as well. But as mentioned earlier, it is too early to report anything on this. Also, now Nokia has decided to license the commercial rights for its brand to HMD Global, for the next 10 years. So it is believed that the first smartphones manufactured by HMD Global should be announced later this year. However, these devices may or may not hit the shelves this year. But definitely, we will be seeing something new early 2017.

Well, the best time to announce a new smartphone is obviously the MWC 2017. If you don’t know this already, the MWC technology fair is to take place next year between February 27 and March 2. And Nokia being one of the companies attending the fair, lights some sparks here. Nokia in past has been always using MWC event as a big launch platform for its phones. Microsoft moved away from that tradition in 2015. So, with Nokia back to Phone business it seems good old days may be back with MWC in focus.

And talking about the possible smartphone launches, as mentioned earlier, it is expected that two new smartphones will be launched by the company. These will be the budget offering from the company and it will be targeting the mid-ranged category of consumers here. Also, the Nokia D1C device is also one of the potential hardware that could be launched. But again, it is too early to speculate things now, so we suggest you to hold tight and wait for more info which we expect to get quite soon. Stay tuned for more info on this.
