Starmobile Up Rave Smartphone announced with 4000mAh battery for PHP 4290
Starmobile Up Rave is a new device that has been unveiled and is priced at PHP 4,290. Starmobile is a Filipino smartphone and tablet manufacturer with its base at Pasig City, Philippines which was established by Star Telecomm. There are many devices from the company like Starmobile Play Click, Starmobile Play Plus, Starmobile Play Max, Starmobile Engage 7i and few other devices.
The device comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels which gives out a pixel density of 294ppi. Out of the box, the Starmobile Up Rave comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. Under the hood, there is a MediaTek MT6580 Quad-Core Cortex-A7 processor with a clocking speed of 1.3 GHz coupled with 1GB RAM and Mali-400 MP2 GPU.

On the camera front, the handset comes with an 8MP rear camera with Autofocus and LED flash which is accompanied with 8MP camera for selfies and video calling. The onboard memory on the Up Rave is 16GB which could be extended up to a maximum of 32GB via microSD card slot. The device supports dual SIM connectivity but sadly is limited to 3G and there are other connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS with A-GPS, MicroUSB 2.0 and 3.5mm audio jack.
The company has pushed in a fingerprint sensor to enhance the security levels, and there are other sensors like Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor, Ambient Light Sensor and Magnetometer. There is a 4000mAh Li-ion battery on the back to power the device. The company will be looking to compete against many other bigger smartphone makers like Samsung, Sony, HTC, LG and few other brands. The fingerprint sensor on the back is capable of storing 5 different prints while the battery can last up to 4 days on stand by and gives 13.3 hours of voice calls.
