Playing around with the brightness of the watch will definitely allow you to get the most out of your battery when you need.
Disable Wake-up Gesture
The Gear S3 smartwatch has a raise to wake up the screen feature, which is found in pretty much every other smartwatch. This feature comes in handy when you have turned off the always on option. However, do make a note that disabling the raise to wake feature will require you to tap the button on the side every time to check the time and notifications. Having said that, disabling it may help you get more out of the battery since the display is turned on many times even when you don’t need it like while sleeping for instance. You can find this option inside the Device settings, and you ca turn this off if you want to get more out of your battery when you need it.

This is another feature which can be disabled in your watch, however, turning this off will not allow you to take full advantage of the features that are available on your watch. Hence if you are a fitness enthusiast and would like to have a track of your activity data always there for you, then we suggest you leave this on. Do make a note that this will only disable the auto detect feature and if you want manually track a workout then that feature will still work out of the box. To turn this options off, go to S health and look for settings. Under settings, you will find this option from where you can turn it on or off according to your requirement.
Sounds and Vibrations
The Vibration of the watch may take up a lot of battery and for most people, it may not be an essential feature to have. You can turn this off by going to the sounds and vibration menu in the settings. Alternatively, instead of turning it off completely, you can also lower down the intensity of the vibration to keep it nice and subtle at the same save some battery as well. To do this, you can go to sounds and vibration and turn down the intensity from there.
Location
The Gear S3 watches have built-in GPS, and hence they support all location services. However, if you wish to save some battery, then you can turn the location services completely off. This might not affect the battery life much, however, if you are planning to make your battery last longer and then even small things like this will matter on a longer run. When you turn the location services off, then it will not detect your activities properly like running, etc, and even relevant apps won’t be able to work to their fullest potential, hence do bare that in mind before making a change. There are a couple of options to choose from in the GPS settings which you can find connections within the settings app.
S Voice
The gear S3 smartwatches do come with S Voice feature and we all know how that works out. So if you are one of the rare few people who uses S Voice, then leave it on, however, if don’t use the S Voice feature then be sure to turn that off as well. In order to turn off the S Voice feature, all you have to do is go to S Voice and tap on the three dots which you can find on the right-hand side. This is another thing which you can do to save some battery on your Gear S3 smartwatches, i.e. disable the notifications from certain apps.
