You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
The MWC 2017 is just a few of weeks away, and we are curious about the products which will be unveiled there. Apart from the rumors, we have no idea what the products will be launched, particularly smartphones. Until last year, we have seen the major brands like Samsung, LG, Lenovo, and Sony launching their flagship devices. Now in 2017, we also have the iconic Nokia to unveil its first ever true Android smartphone for the global audience. Talking about Samsung, we expect Galaxy S8 smartphone, but surprisingly the device launch event is said to postponed to April.
Even from the recently released company teaser suggested the launch of a new Galaxy tablet. We expected this to be the Galaxy Tab S3 and lately, we are also seeing leaks confirming the same. According to the latest information, the Galaxy Tab S3 will include an S Pen and also an optional Keyboard case. Unlike smartphones, the tablets will not appeal to the masses as the market share of tablets is very less and is also slumping day by day. From the design perspective, we might not see any pathbreaking changes. There won’t be a slot to keep the S Pen within the tablet.
While internally, we will see the upgrade in the display, processor, and camera. There might also be a bump in battery capacity as sell, so this new tablet lasts longer than its predecessor. Few rumors suggest, the device to feature a 9.6-inch Super AMOLED display. The keyboard case will be a good addition to see but there won’t be much functionality as the Android ecosystem is based on the touch interface. On the other hand, the Keyboard cover makes the Surface tablets work like Windows laptop. Even the company’s own Galaxy TabPro S running on Windows 10 brings the best productivity out of keyboard cover which also includes a trackpad.
While Samsung is the only manufacturer to make the best use of the stylus on Android smartphone, let’s wait and see what it offers on the Android tablets. The Galaxy Tab S3 will be available in both Wi-Fi only and LTE variants. The LTE variant is said to be limited to Verizon and US Cellular in the U.S. Talking about the rumored specifications, the 9.6-inch display comes with 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution. It might come powered by the last year’s flagship Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor coupled with Adreno 530 GPU. There will also be 4GB RAM and might come in different storage variants.
It is expected to run on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The Galaxy Tab S3 will first go on sale in South Korea in March and will be later brought to the other markets. The tablet will be officially launched on February 26th, stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details.
