New BlackBerry BBC100-1 Smartphone Leaked, to Launch Soon in Indonesia

After several months of rumors and leaks, TCL and BlackBerry has officially launched the BlackBerry Mercury as the BlackBerry KEYone at the ongoing Mobile World Congress. The device comes with a four row QWERTY keyboard sitting beneath the 4.5-inch touchscreen display. Now, a new device is leaked with a complete touchscreen. Unlike most parts of the world, Blackberry has made an agreement with another company called PT BB Merah Putih to design, manufacture, and market the Blackberry smartphones in Indonesia. TCL has nothing do to with this device, and most probably the new device will be limited only to Indonesia.
Talking about the device, it comes with the model number BBC100-1 and is already certified in the country. The device sports polycarbonate shell with a 2.5D glass on the front. It is said to come with a 5.5-inch display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz and coupled Adreno 308 GPU. It also packs 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of expansion upto 64GB. It is backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery that might give a day-long battery life.
The device will be running on Android OS and includes BlackBerry Hub offering all its services in one app. In the camera department, there is a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front camera for selfies. All these specifications are from the certification authorities listing in Indonesia. Looking at the $550 price tag of Blackberry KEYone, we can’t expect this new device to come with an affordable price tag. It will be anyway supporting dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE connectivity. Apart from the BlackBerry BBC100-1, the company also launch a couple of new smartphones which will come from TCL the caters the global market.
The recently launched BlackBerry KEYone came with 4.5-inch Full HD display with 3:2 aspect ratio. It is powered by Snapdragon 625 SoC and coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. In the camera department, there is a 12MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front camera. It is backed by a 3,505mAh battery that also supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology. The fingerprint sensor integrated into the space bar can be used for Android Pay as the device supports NFC.
