Leaked images shows the HTC’s upcoming flagship the HTC U for the first time
You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
HTC just recently launched the new HTC U Ultra here in India. Although this is priced on the premium side, this is not the company’s flagship for this. We have been hearing a lot about the new HTC U a.k.a Ocean smartphone as well and now we have our first look at the device. Evan Blass tweeted out an image which shows the HTC’s upcoming flagship. Do make a note that this is the first legit photo of the smartphone which we have till now.
Taking a look at the image, we can see the front as well as the back of the device. Although the images doesnt’t really give us much about the device itself, we can certainly point out a few things about it. First off, the device in question here looks very similar to the HTC U Ultra which we talked about earlier. This upcoming flagship also has a glossy finish along with rounded edges and corners. On the front, there is also a fingerprint scanner on the front which again looks smal in comparison to whole body of the device.
At the back, there is just a single camera along with the flash. However, it looks like we don’t have a secondary display this time around. This could be due to the fact that the overall body will be smaller in size as the U Ultra is massive in size. And talking about the specs of the device, we don’ have any new info however, we do have some set of specs from the previously leaked info. It is expected that we will be seeing a 5.5″ display on the front with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixel.

Inside, it looks like we will be seeing the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC running the show along with 4GB of RAM. On the camera side of things, we should see a 12MP rear facing camera and 16MP front facing shooter. On the software side of things, this device will be running the Android Nougat based Sense 9 with some neat customization options. We should get to know more about the device once we get closer to the launch date and hence we suggest you patiently wait until then.
We don’t have any other info about the launch or the availability of this device either as of now. However, this definitely appears to a 2017 flasgship for the company and hence we should see it anytime this year. With that said, we would like to know what do you think about this new smartphone from HTC. Would you be interested in buying this new device if it ever makes it to India? Be sure to let us know by dropping a comment down below and also, stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more info on this.
