Samsung Galaxy S8 & Galaxy S8 Plus – Starting from Rs. 57,900

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus smartphones are now officially launched in the Indian market. The Galaxy S8 is priced at Rs. 57,900, whereas the Galaxy S8 Plus comes with a price tag of Rs. 64,900. The devices are now available to pre-order, and the company is offering the latest wireless charging dock with Quick Charge support for free. While the U.S variants are powered by Snapdragon 835 SoC, the Indian users will only get the Exynos 8895 SoC powered devices. The devices support dual SIM dual standby and offer 4G VoLTE connectivity. Within the package, Samsung is also offering a $100 worth AKG earphones. There is no physical home button on these devices. Instead, the company is offering the virtual button with force touch. The fingerprint scanner can be found on the rear of the device, sitting beside the rear camera sensor. The bezel-less display offers higher screen-to-body ratio that makes these bigger devices feel smaller in hand. With the Samsung DeX, the user can connect the device to a monitor, keyboard, and a mouse to use it as a computer. Also, note that there is no free screen replacement guarantee in India as offered in the other countries.

LG G6 – Rs. 41,999

Last month, LG has officially launched the LG G6 here in India for Rs. 51,999. It was made available via Amazon India and retail stores and the device is now retailing for just Rs. 41,999. Just like the Galaxy S8, the LG G6 also comes with a bigger display with smaller bezels. It sports 5.7-inch FullVision display with Quad HD+ resolution. The LG G6 is also the world’s first smartphone to support Dolby Vision along with HDR 10. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat based LG UX UI out of the box. This is also first non-Pixel smartphone to get the Google Assistant. It packs the 2.35GHz Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It is backed by a 3,300mAh non-removable battery and support Quick Charge 3.0 for fast charging. The company also made the LG G6 water and dust resistance. The Indian variant also comes with 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC for enhanced audio experience. There are 13MP sensors on the back that can capture images with a 125-degree view.

Vivo V5 Plus IPL Edition – Rs. 25,990

Just before the 10th edition IPL, Vivo launched the Vivo V5 Plus IPL Edition smartphone. This is the same Vivo V5 Plus that was launched earlier but comes with a golden IPL 10 logo engraved on the rear. Interestingly, the device is priced at Rs. 25,990 whereas the V5 Plus is now available for Rs. 24,999. It comes in Matte Black color and can be purchased from Flipkart and Vivo retail stores. The device also comes with a pre-installed IPL theme. The 5.5-inch Full HD on the front comes protected by a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is powered by a Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with an Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based FunTouch 3.0 OS. There is a 16MP rear camera with PDAF and f/2.0 aperture. For selfies, the device is equipped with a 20MP and 8MP dual front cameras. The physical home button placed beneath the display come integrated with a fingerprint sensor. Vivo is also offering a free Silicon back cover and two screen guard for free within in the package.

Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro – Rs. 25,990

After launching its 6GB RAM smartphone, Galaxy C9 Pro in India, the company brought its second Galaxy C smartphone to the Indian market. The new Galaxy C7 Pro shares the same design as on the Galaxy C9 Pro. It comes with a unibody metal design and measures just 7 mm in thickness. It is currently retailing at Rs. 25,990 is sold via Amazon and Samsung stores. The device still runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box with the customized UI laid on top. It comes with a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with Always-On Display feature. There is also a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection on top. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 626 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. There is a 16MP camera with a f/1.9 aperture on the front and back of the device. With the NFC support and included fingerprint sensor, the Galaxy C7 Pro also supports the Samsung Pay. It is kept powered on by a 3,000mAh battery with adaptive fast charging technology. The device also supports dual SIM using the hybrid slot where the user can opt for a MicroSD card instead of the secondary SIM.

Sony Xperia XZs – Rs. 49,990

Sony unveiled the Xperia XZs alongside the Xperia XZ Premium at the MWC 2017 event held in Barcelona. In the early April, the company launched the Xperia XZs in the Indian market for a whopping price of Rs. 49,990. The USP of the device is its 19MP rear camera that can record slo-mo videos at 960fps. At this price, the device sports last-gen specifications like Snapdragon 820 SoC, 5.2-inch Triluminos Display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. It packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to additional 256GB. The Xperia XZs runs on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box with the customized Xperia UI laid on top that includes several Xperia apps along with the Google apps.With the IP68 certification, the device is also water and dust resistant. The rear camera on this device comes with Laser autofocus and 5-axis stabilization that can also record in 4K resolution. In this selfie generation, Sony is offering a 13MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The power button placed on the right edge comes embedded with a fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.
