Huawei Launches Nova 2 & Nova 2 Plus with Kirin 659 SoC & 12MP + 8MP Dual Rear Cameras

As announced earlier, Huawei has officially launched the Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus smartphones today in China. Both these devices are the successors to Nova & Nova Plus smartphones unveiled at the IFA 2016. Now, the new Nova smartphones are first launched in China and might later enter the global markets. With the Nova 2 smartphones, the company also introduced the dual camera setup in the mid-range Nova series. The devices come with a unibody metal design and will be made available in Aurora Blue, Grass Green, Streamer Gold, Obsidian Black, and Rose Gold color options.

The Huawei Nova 2 sports a 5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display offering a pixel density of 443 PPI. It comes powered by in-house Kirin 659 octa-core processor clocked at 2.36GHz and comes coupled with Mali T830 MP2 GPU. The device packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be further expanded using the MicroSD card slot. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with the customized EMUI 5.1 laid on top. With the hybrid SIM slot, the user can opt for a secondary SIM or a MicroSD card. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the rear which also supports gestures.
