OnePlus 5 box Designs leaks out before its Official Announcement
You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus is all set to launch their new OnePlus 5 smartphone. We have been learning about the smartphone a lot over the past couple of days. Yesterday we got some new leaks which pretty much confirmed the launch date of the device to be June 15th. And now we have some new reports today, which gives a look at the possible options for the box in which the smartphone will be shipped. Yes, it is quite unusual that we are seeing box leaks now.
The company has teased these eight different retail box designs for its upcoming OnePlus 5 smartphone. The same has been teased by the company on their official Weibo handle, which is a micro-blogging site like Twitter in China. What’s more unusual is that we have eight box designs. As you can see from the images, three of them are almost completely red in color whereas the others are almost completely white. However, all of them have the numeral ‘5’ written on it.
What remains to be seen if the company will end up using all the designs for shipping the devices or select just one or maybe have one design for each region, etc. which is again very unlikely. The fact that the company has posted this one their official Weibo account appears to be just another act for publicity or maybe they just users opinion on which one to choose.
As far as the launch date of the smartphone is concerned, we don’t have any official info regarding the same, however, as mentioned earlier, it looks like it will be launched on June 15th (according to the leaks). And regarding the specs, we are sure you already know what to expect by now. The smartphone will carry Snapdragon 835 SoC and it looks like we will be getting 6GB of RAM. The smartphone is also expected to run Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box.
Well, now that you have seen the boxes, we would like to know your thoughts about it. Let us know which box design you look like the most by dropping a comment down below. And also, be sure to stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more info like this.
