You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
Vivo XPlay 6 was initially released with 128GB of onboard storage, and now the company has come up with a cheaper variant at ¥3998 (approx $580) which will have 64GB of inbuilt storage. The device has seen a good number of sales in spite of using an older Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor. The Vivo XPlay 5 which the predecessor of this handset came with a Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor while it’s sibling XPlay 5 Ultimate Edition came with Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor.
Well, many might have expected this newer version of the XPlay 6 to come with Snapdragon 821 processor, but it is now the case as it comes with the same 820 quad-core chipsets with a clocking speed of 2.14GHz. On the front is a 5.46-inch dual curved Super AMOLED display with Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution. It packs 6GB of RAM as we have seen on the previous versions & 64GB of internal storage.
The handset comes with a 12MP Sony IMX362 sensor and 5MP sensors placed on the rear while the front camera is of 16MP resolution. Vivo XPlay 6 also features one ES9038 and three OPA1622 dedicated Hi-Fi Chips for better audio. There is a 4,080mAh non-removable battery on the rear which should be good enough to power the device an entire day on normal usage. There is also a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button to enhance the security levels of the handset as we can see on most of the devices.
This new version or the cheaper version will be available only in Rose Gold and Gold color variant as the Matte black option comes only with 128GB of storage. Are you having any plans of getting this device? It will be available from the online store JD.com.
