Airtel Plans to Launch 4G VoLTE Enabled Android Smartphone by Diwali, to be priced under Rs. 2000

Airtel is a mobile operator in India which also provides broadband and subscription television services in the country is been planning to launch its own 4G VoLTE smartphone by the eve of Diwali. Yes, you read it right, the company is also going to price this device under Rs. 2000 which will be a direct competition to Jio Phone and also to the rumored Micromax’s Bharat One features phone. This upcoming handset will run on the Android operating system and should wait and see if there will be any further updates.
This device will sport a 4-inch touchscreen display and will support VoLTE connectivity which is a very important factor to be considered as India is getting digitalized and we have seen a big improvement in the data consumption also. Moreover, it will feature a rear camera as well as a front camera for selfies and video calls. There will be 1GB of RAM memory and is expected to come with a microSD card slot to extend the memory.
The handset will also support dual-SIM connectivity but nothing is mentioned which SIM card it will be supporting. To power the device there will be a 1600mAh battery but it is unclear on which version of Android it will pack. Last month we have seen Airtel launching its VoLTE services in Mumbai and will be launching its VoLTE services in Chennai also in coming days. Airtel promised to roll out the VoLTE across India in the coming few months which is a good news to its customers.
Since Diwali is not far away we can expect more news to come out about the device in the coming days and can see more smartphones to come in similar price range.
