Last month, Motorola has sent out the media invites for the launch of Moto X4. While the official launch event is expected to be held on October 3rd, the company has postponed the event without mentioning any reasons. Even the Moto X4 Android One edition shipping in the U.S has been delayed due to the production issues. However, the company has recently mentioned the India-specific launch date of Moto X4 to one of our readers via Twitter.

According to the latest information, the Moto X4 is going to launch in India on November 13th. It was first announced at the IFA 2017 event and last month, the company launched the Moto X4 Android One edition in the U.S through Project Fi network. Motorola also promised to release Android 8.0 Oreo update for this device. Since the device will be launched after a month-long delay, we can also expect to see Android 8.0 Oreo update by the time of its launch.

(September 19th, 2017)

Motorola has started sending invites for the launch of its new device Moto X4 in India. The handset has been in the leaks from few days and the device will be launched in the country on 3rd October. Initially, the Moto X4 was unveiled at IFA event that was held a few days back. The device will come in Super Black and Sterling Blue color variant but nothing is known about the pricing yet for which we need to wait for few more days.

The handset will sport 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) FHD LTPS IPS display with the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass on top. Under the hood, there is a 2.2 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 630 14nm SoC coupled with 3GB/4GB RAM and Adreno 508 GPU. The onboard storage of the device is 32GB/64GB which can be extended up to a maximum of 2TB via microSD card slot. Out of the box, the smartphone will come with Android 7.1 Nougat operating system which will be getting further updates in the future.

There is a 12MP rear-facing camera with dual Autofocus Pixel sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide angle secondary camera that can record 4K videos. For selfies, there is a 16MP camera with LED flash with f/2.0 aperture size. There is a fingerprint sensor to enhance the security levels and is IP68 rated for water and dust resistance. To power the handset there his a 3000mAh battery with Turbo Charge.

Last year we couldn’t see a Moto X smartphone but Motorola and Lenovo have decided to bring back this series and soon going to launch the Moto X4 which will be the latest addition to this series. Motorola has scheduled an event on September 2nd and we are expecting the Moto X4 launch on the same day. This was posted on Motorola’s official Philippines Facebook page and live streaming will also take place at 6 PM.

According to the update, the streaming will be featuring Nadine Lustra and James Reid who is also called as Jadine. The presence of these two Filipino actors will also bring some excitement and a user from Twitter has also tweeted about Moto X4 pricing for the U.S region and this point is supported by the numerous leaks that have been circulating. It is expected that the device might be priced at MSRP of $350 for the 32GB model while $400 for the 64GB model.

According to this pricing, we can say the new Moto X device is priced lesser than its predecessors as the Moto X 2014 model was priced at $500 while the Moto X Pure edition 2015 model was launched at $400. The device is rumored to come with dual rear camera setup and will be powered by a 3000 mAh battery. It is also said that the handset will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC but we need to wait for few more days until we get the specs sheet officially from the company.

The Facebook post also reveals the launch will introduce the upcoming Moto X device as “HelloMoto X” has been mentioned on the Facebook page. All these specs that have been mention have to be taken with a pinch of salt and we have to wait until Motorola launched the device officially. Any of you use Motorola X series device?
