Huawei Y3 (2018) Android Go Smartphone With 5″ Display Launched
The Huawei Y3 (2018) has been in the leaks from the last couple of months. Today, the company has officially unveiled the Y3 (2018) smartphone in Indonesia for IDR 1.5 million. As expected, the Huawei Y3 (2018) is the company’s first ever Android Go smartphone. Instead of the EMUI, the device comes with the latest Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition).
The Huawei Y3 (2018) will be competing with the Asus ZenFone Live L1 Android Go smartphone which comes with an 18:9 display. With the Go Edition, the device can offer seamless experience even with basic specifications. Considering the cheaper price tag, the device comes with the polycarbonate body. It sports a 5-inch 16:9 display with FWVGA (480×854 pixels) resolution.
It comes powered by MediaTek MT6737M quad-core processor. The device comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of inbuilt storage. In the camera department, the Y3 (2018) comes with an 8 MP camera on the rear with f/2.0 and a 2MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls. There is a 2,280mAh battery that should last one complete day of usage.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device supports dual SIM dual standby using the triple card slot where you can also add a dedicated MicroSD. It measures 145.1 x 73.7 x 9.45 mm and weight is 180 grams. The Huawei Y3 (2018) will go on sale soon in Indonesia.
