Xiaomi has entered the list of top 5 largest smartphone brands in the world just by selling the budget smartphones. The flagship Mi smartphones are only limited to the Chinese market. Starting with the Mi 6 launch, the company only launched the Mi MIX 2 smartphone in the Indian market until today. In China, the company also sells several other products ranging from a ball pen to electric bikes.
The company achieved a lot of success in the smart home category by its strategic investments. Yeelight is one of the sub-brand which offer smart lighting solutions. In the past couple of years, we have seen Yeelight-branded smart bulbs, bedside lights, desk lamps, and many more. Today, a new Yeelight product is listed on Xiaomi’s crowdfunding platform.
The all-new Yeelight Pro is priced at 599 Yuan (approx $95 / Rs. 6,250) and comes with new smart features. Firstly, the Yeelight Pro offers light close to natural light spectrum using the ‘SunLike’ technology which filters out the blue light. Since the quality of the light is important especially for kid’s eyes, the Yeelight Pro brings the smart eye protection feature.
The base of the Yeelight Pro also supports touch gestures for adjusting the light brightness. Yeelight is also offering animal stickers for the metal base to make it look more interesting for the kids. It is also Wi-Fi enabled to connected to the smartphone using the Yeelight app. The Yeelight Pro is also flicker free and its stand can be adjusted for better visibility.
The Yeelight Pro is mentioned to be one of the very few products to achieve the highest level (AA) of visual safety certification. While it is currently available via its crowdfunding platform in China, the retail sales might begin after shipping to the backers. We can also expect this to be made available in other markets in the coming months. Checkout our ‘Everything Xiaomi’ list for more interesting products from Xiaomi.
