Archos Launches new Helium Budget Smartphones with Android 6.0 Marshmallow & 4G LTE support

Archos Helium

With IFA 2016 event right around the corner, more and more smartphone launches are scheduled for it. However, we still have a lot of other manufacturers launching their devices ahead of the main event. On the same lines, Archos also unveiled a new smartphone just before the IFA main event. This French smartphone manufacturer unveiled two new devices in the affordable budget segment named 50f Helium and 55 Helium.

50f Helium

The 50f Helium packs a 5-inch display with the resolution of 1280 x 720. It is powered by a Snapdragon 210 chipset, which is one the lower side. It also packs 2GB of RAM and a 32GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB of extra added space. The device is powered by a 2,000 mAh battery only. So this might be the major downside for the device. But on the other hand, it supports 4G LTE, has a fingerprint scanner at the back, Qualcomm Quick Charge, an 8-megapixel main camera with AF and LED flash.

Also, most importantly it is powered by the Android 6.0 Marshmallow software. There is also a Lite version for this device, which packs 1GB of RAM and 8GB of ROM. The Lite version starts at $105 and the regular variant is priced at $132.

55 Helium Ultra

This device packs comparatively better specs. It features a 5.5-inch display with the same resolution. It is powered by a MediaTek 6737 processor with 3GB of RAM. The device is powered by a 2,700 mAh battery. There is also a lite variant of this device as well, which offers 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The regular variant is priced at $157 and the lite variant is priced at $117. This device also features a fingerprint scanner. Also, there is one more device called the Helium 4 Seasons, which comes with interchangable back cases for $132. All the above dual-SIM handsets will be available starting the month of October. Stay tuned for more info like this.
