Galaxy Note 7 Launch in Malaysia delayed due to Supply Constraints, India Launch
Samsung launched their new Galaxy Note 7 phablet last week at the Unpacked event in New York City. It was announced that the device would be available to purchase starting August 19th. However, now according to new reports, the company has delayed the sales of the smartphone until September. The reason for the same is due to the overwhelming response from the consumers.
According to a report in Malaysia, it appears that Samsung has sent out a letter to the local media informing them of the delay of the phone’s launch. According to the letter, Samsung has pushed the delay to sometime in the month of September. The exact date was not mentioned for this. The letter also clearly says that this is due to the demand for the phone which has led to a global supply constraint.
But apparently, if you have pre-ordered the smartphone between the 8th to 10th of August, then you will be getting the device on time as promised. But for others who are planning to do so, it will be safe to hold on to that thought and wait for further announcement from the company. However, it is unclear if only Malaysia is affected by this or if other markets are similarly affected. But it is likely that other markets are also affected since the device is getting a welcoming response from the consumers across the Globe.
It is also reported that the handset had broken pre-order records in Korea, where it managed to see 200,000 pre-orders within the first two days of the announcement. And as far as India is concerned, the device is set to launch today and is expected to go on sale starting 19th August. So let’s see how is this phablet received in the Indian market. Stay tuned for more info on this.
