Huawei launches Y3II, Y5II, Y6II Smartphones & T2 10.0, 7.0 MediaPad Pro Tablets
Huawei officially launched the Y3II & the Y5II smartphones which are low-end offering from the company that they previously announced to launch. Along with the Y3II & the Y5II, they also launched the Y6II which is comparatively more expensive. It features a 5.5-inch display and it is powered by Kirin 650 Chipset with octa-core CPU. It packs 2GB of RAM along with 16GB of internal storage. On the camera side, there is a 16-megapixel rear facing camera and an 8-megapixel front facing selfie shooter. The device will be powered by a 3000 mAh battery and will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. It is priced at about 219 Euros (roughly 16,500 INR) and will be available in black, white and gold color options.
They also launched 2 new tablets named T2 10.0 & T2 7.0 MediaPad Pro. Both the tablets support 4G LTE connectivity, a fingerprint scanner and 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel rear and front facing cameras respectively. Talking about other specifications, the T2 10.0 MediaPad Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 CPU, whereas the T2 7.0 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor. Both the devices are available in 2GB/3GB variants with 16GB/32GB internal storage option respectively. In terms of pricing, the T2 10.0 MediaPad Pro is available for 299 Euros (roughly 22,500 INR) and the T2 7.0 Mediapad Pro is available for 249 Euros (roughly 18,500 INR).
Earlier: Huawei Y3 II and Y5 II are the two new entry-level smartphones from Huawei. The devices are listed on the company’s global website without mentioning price and availability. Last month, the specifications and the images of Y5 II were leaked, while we are seeing the Y3 II for the first time. Both the devices come with basic specifications built into a polycarbonate body. Earlier this month, the company had unveiled its latest flagship devices Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus at an event held in London.
The Huawei Y3 II is the successor for the Huawei Y3, which was made available in 2015. Apart from the power button and volume rocker, there is an additional button called as ‘Easy Key.’ Users can customize the functions for press, double press, and press and hold for selected functions. The device features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) display. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with EMUI 3.1 Lite UI overlaid
It comes in both 3G and 4G variants where the 3G variant is powered by MediaTek MT6582M processor while the 4G variant comes with MT6735M quad-core processor. Rest of the specifications remains same; there is 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage. There is a 5MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, and a 2,100mAh Li-Poly Battery. It comes in Obsidian Black, Arctic White, Sand Gold, Rose Pink, and Sky Blue color options.
Compared to the Huawei Y3 II, the Y5 II comes with slightly better specifications. The device sports a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The Y5 II also comes in two variants; the 3G variant is powered by an MT6582 processor while the 4G variant is backed by an MT6735P processor. It also comes with Easy Key as seen on Y3 II.
There is 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage that can be further expanded via MicroSD card slot. It includes an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera where both the cameras are accompanied with LED flash. The device is kept powered on by a 2,200mAh battery. It measures 143.8 x 72 x 8.9 mm and weighs 135 grams. Just like the Y3 II, the Y5 II will be available in same five colors.
