LYF Flame 7 & Flame 7S smartphones with 1GB RAM & 4G VoLTE to launch soon – Exclusive

lyf flame 4g smartphone

In less than a year, LYF emerged as the third largest 4G smartphone manufacturer in India. Though there is nothing to do with the specifications or the features of their smartphones, the craze of LYF smartphones is built over the Jio preview offer that includes unlimited usage of 4G data, voice calls, and SMS. Reliance is offering a free Jio 4G SIM with every LYF smartphone. Recently the company has expanded the Jio preview offer for selected Samsung Galaxy devices.

Now the latest information is that the company is planning to offer a new Jio 4G SIM with the purchase of every smartphone that costs more than Rs. 10,000. But we guess it to be limited to the purchases done at the Reliance Digital, Digital Xpress or a Digital Xpress Mini store. While there are already very affordable smartphones from LYF under the Flame series, now the company is gearing up to launch two new smartphones under the same series.

The Flame 7 and Flame 7S are new entry-level smartphones that will be launched in the next few days. We expect the devices to be priced around Rs. 3,500; whereas the already launched LYF Flame 3, Flame 4, Flame 5, and Flame 6 costs just Rs. 2,999. Both the devices supports 4G LTE and supports VoLTE for making voice calls through Jio 4G SIM. Talking about the specifications, both the devices come with a 4-inch WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) resolution.

Under the hood, the Flame 7 and Flame 7S are powered by an unknown quad-core processor which may not give seamless multi-tasking but works fine while using one app at a time. There is 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded with the MicroSD card slot upto 32GB. The devices still run on the Android 5.1 Lollipop, and as we exclusively covered yesterday, the Water 7S will be first LYF device to come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

As of there is no information about the battery capacities of these devices. The LYF Flame 7 sports a 2MP autofocus camera on the rear and a 2MP fixedfocus camera on the front. On the other hand, the Flame 7S features a 5MP rear camera, but the selfie camera is only limited to 0.3MP resolution. As seen with the other LYF smartphones, both the above mentioned devices come with two years of manufacturer warranty where the extended second year has to be activated manually through the MyLYF app.
