Moto E 2016 with 16GB Storage Imported to India, may Launch Soon
Lenovo had launched the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus as the successors to 2015 launched Moto G3. While the Moto Z series expected to replace the Moto X devices, the company denied that and confirmed to launch the Moto X 2016 devices by the end of this year. Coming to the entry-level Moto E, last month Lenovo launched the Moto E 2016 in the U.K, but the device will be available starting from September.
Earlier there are rumors suggesting the Lenovo Vibe C2 to be launched as Moto E in the Western markets. Now the Moto E 2016 with the model number XT1706 is imported to India and price was mentioned as Rs. 5,446. We guess the device to be launched soon in the market and might retail in between Rs. 7,000 – Rs. 8,000 price range. The design of the new Moto E 2016 looks similar to the Moto G4 devices.
Last year’s Moto E (2nd Gen) 4G variant was launched at Rs. 7,999 but it is now retailing at Rs. 6,999. Talking about the specifications of Moto E 2016, it sports a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and comes protected by Gorilla Glass 3. It runs on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box without any changes from the stock UI. It sports an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie shooter on the front.
The device comes powered by Snapdragon 410 quad-core chipset and will be available in two variants, 1GB RAM + 8GB storage and 2GB RAM + 16GB storage. It is powered by a 2,800 non-removable battery that might give more than a day of usage with its less powerful specs. It comes with dual SIM support in India and offers 4G LTE connectivity. While the device will be launched in the European and Asian markets, the company confirmed not to launch the Moto E in the U.S.
