Jio 4G services are set to launch commercially on August 15th, till the company is offering Jio 4G SIM under the preview offer with the LYF and selected Samsung devices. While the sales of 4G supported devices are increasing over the other devices, there are not many 4G devices that support VoLTE. Though most of the 4G devices support VoLTE on the hardware side, but the usage is restricted on the software front.
While all the OnePlus devices – OnePlus One, OnePlus 2, OnePlus X, OnePlus 3 supports 4G LTE; only the recently launched OnePlus 3 came with enabled with VoLTE. Now, the company is said to be working with Reliance Jio to enable VoLTE on the other three devices. As of now, there is no time frame mentioned, but the software update can be expected in the next few weeks.
The company had some good sales with the debutant OnePlus One and even with mid-range OnePlus X in India and once the VoLTE is enabled, the company might bring smiles over their user’s face.
