Galaxy Folder 2 leaks

Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 is the name that has been circulating for quite a time now which will be the successor to the Galaxy Folder that was launched last year. The device has cleared the FCC and TENNA certification and also received the Bluetooth certification. Now we have the leaks of the promotional image of this device which is indicating the launch. The South Korean Giant has already pushed the flip phone models earlier which did not see much of success and will be hoping to see a good response with this device.

The leaked image shows a slim body with a physical keypad and will also have a touch screen display. We can see the Golden variant of the device in the image, although we are not sure if another variant will be made available or not. Earlier we have seen the company launching other high-end clamshell phone Samsung W2016 with dual display and metallic body.

Coming to the specifications of the Galaxy Folder 2, it will be sporting a 3.8-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels which might not impress many. Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 425 SoC quad-core processor with a clocking speed of 1.4 GHz, coupled with 2GB of RAM. The handset will come with an 8MP camera sensor on the rear which is accompanied with 5MP camera on the front.

The Galaxy Folder 2 will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box and will have a 1,950mAh battery on the back. The memory on the device can be extended up to a maximum of 16GB via microSD card slot and will be measuring 122 x 60.2 x 15.5 mm that will weigh 155 grams. Other information of the device is not yet mentioned but can expect it to be revealed very soon.

Code named as SM-G1600 the Galaxy Folder 2 will be coming with 4G LTE support and most likely to offer dual SIM support. On the connectivity front, we can see the support of Bluetooth 4.2, microUSB, WiFi b/g/n and WiFi direct. It will be interesting to see how this flip phone will be received in the market with this old form factor. There isn’t any official release date of the same but will be updating you as soon as we have the information. Stay tuned for more and comment in the section below for other information.
