Honor 8 Lite & Honor Bee 4G 2 Smartphones to Launch Soon in India

From today, Honor India is offering Rs. 4,000 off on the Honor 8 Smart which was launched at Rs. 19,999. There are also leaks that the company will be launching China-exclusive Honor V9 as Honor 8 Pro at the upcoming Mobile World Congress event. Now, we got exclusive information that the company will be launching both the Honor 8 Lite and Honor Bee 4G 2 smartphones soon in Indian market. It is already on sale in few European countries and will be launching in India in the first week of March. Huawei is also reselling the Honor 8 Lite as Huawei P8 Lite 2017 and Huawei Nova Lite in few markets.
Talking about the Honor Bee 4G 2, it will be the successor the Honor Bee 4G. But the company had officially launched only the Honor Bee 3G in the Indian market. The Honor Bee 3G along with Honor 4C smartphones were launched in May 2015. It is then priced at just Rs. 4,999 and now, we expect the upcoming Honor Bee 4G 2 to be costing less than Rs. 5,000. There are already quite a few smartphones offering 4G VoLTE support under the Rs. 5,000 price range. Samsung is the only major manufacturer to launch a sub Rs. 5,000 smartphone in the Indian market in 2016.
Coming to the Honor 8 Lite, it come with the 2.5D glass on front and back of the device. It looks similar to the Honor 8 but lacks the dual camera setup on the back. It sports a 5.2-inch Full HD display and is powered by the Kirin 655 octa-core processor which also powers the recently launched Honor 6X. While the variant launched in Europe came with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage, we expect the Honor India to launch the device in one more variant with different RAM and storage capacities. It also sports a circular fingerprint sensor placed on the rear.
We also expect the variant launching in India to come with Android 7.0 Nougat based EMUI 5.0 out of the box. There is a single 12MP sensor on the rear with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. On the front is an 8MP selfie camera with wide-angle lens. The Honor 8 Lite measures 137.2 x 72.94 x 7.6 mm and weighs almost 147 grams. Unlike theHonor 8 Lite, the Honor Bee 4G 2 will be sporting entry-level specifications and might come with a polycarbonate shell to cut down the costs. As of now, the Honor Holly 2 Plus is the company’s most affordable device priced at Rs. 8,999.
