This iPhone 7 Plus Clone is the World’s Most Affordable Dual Camera Smartphone
You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
Xiaolajiao, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer based out of Shenzhen, has recently launched a new smartphone called Red Pepper 6. This is also the same manufacturer that has showcased the iLA T1 smartphone during the MWC 2017 which can measure ECG and Blood Pressure. The Red Pepper 6 will soon start retailing at just 799 Yuan (approx $115 / Rs. 7500) making it the most affordable dual camera smartphone. Even at such a low price, the device packs much better specifications than the other devices at the similar price tag.
The Red Pepper 6 comes in Sapphire Blue, Champagne Gold and Obsidian Black color options. It sports an all-metal unibody design along with a 2.5D curved glass on the front. Looking at the design of the Red Pepper 6, it looks almost similar to the Apple iPhone 7 Plus. Even the antennas are placed on the top and bottom edges of the device. The power button and volume rocker are placed on the left edge, while the SIM card slot is on the right edge. It comes with a 5.2-inch display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution.
Under the hood is the 64-bit MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor clocked at 1.25GHz and comes coupled with Mali-T720 GPU. The Red Pepper 6 packs 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage on this device. Interestingly, the device runs on Alibaba’s Yun OS 5.1 instead of Android OS. The device comes with a dual SIM dual standby support and offers 4G LTE connectivity. Beneath the display, we can spot the physical home button with an integrated fingerprint sensor that also supports mobile payments via Alipay and WeChat.
The Red Pepper 6 also comes with a 3.5mm audio port which is missing on the Apple iPhone 7 Plus. With all these specifications, the device comes backed by 2,600mAh non-removable battery. Talking about the cameras, the device comes with 13MP + 5MP camera setup on the rear and an 8MP selfie camera on the front. The Xiaolajiao Red Pepper 6 will go on sale in China on May 22nd. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. Considering the earlier launched Xiaolajiao smartphones, we don’t think the device will be sold out of China. However, check out for the third-party Chinese retailers who might soon ship this device to other countries.
