ASUS ZenFone 4 Max (ZC550TL) Smartphone Running On ZenUI 4.0 Launched In China

Update – After the launching the new ZenFone 4 Max smartphone in Russia, the company has now officially launched the new ZenFone 4 Max smartphone in China (listed in official website), however, we are looking at a slightly different variant here. The Chinese variant of the smartphone carries the model number ZC550TL. This variant is running on MediaTek MT6750 SoC and is coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. On the front, there is a 5.5-inch display, but this one has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
This variant also has a 5,000 mAh battery which is the USP of the smartphone and it is running on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with redesigned ZenUI 4.0 on top of it. It also has the same dual rear camera setup with 13-megapixel sensors. This variant is priced at ¥1399 which roughly translates to about 10,500 INR. Earlier (04/07/2017) – As we had reported earlier, ASUS has now unveiled the new ZenFone 4 Max smartphone. It comes in two variants where one is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC and the other one is powered by a Snapdragon 425 SoC. Customers can also buy it with upto 4GB of RAM and it comes with three storage configurations i.e. 16GB, 32GB & 64GB. You can also expand the storage via a microSD card. The smartphone is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery which also comes with Powermaster power saving mode.
It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with ZenUI on top of it. On, the front, there is a 5.5-inch FHD Display and it also has 13MP main sensor with a secondary camera of 120-degree wide-angle lens and an 8MP front-facing camera. The Snapdragon 425 SoC variant with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage will cost you RUB 13,900, which roughly translates to about 15,000 INR. As of now, there is no info about the pricing and availability in other markets and hence we suggest you wait for more info.
Earlier – The Taiwanese smartphone brand, Asus is yet to launch smartphone under the Zenfone 4 series. After the success of Zenfone 2, last year, the company went for the premium devices which fell flat with the tough competition from other flagship Android smartphones. While there is no official confirmation, a new device called Asus Zenfone 4 Max with the model number ZC554KL is spotted on the company’s official website. Samsung, LG, and Xiaomi already launched their new flagship devices and based on the leaks; soon we might also see the latest flagship devices from OnePlus and Motorola as well.
The latest reports suggest Asus might unveil the Zenfone 4 devices at the Computex 2017 event that is scheduled from May 30th to June 3rd in Taipei, Taiwan. Even last year, Asus launched the Asus Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Deluxe, and Zenfone 3 Ultra smartphones at the Computex 2016. Now, we might see the mid-range Zenfone 4 Max launch at the upcoming Computex event. It will be the successor to Zenfone 3 Max and Zenfone 3S Max. Apart from the name and model number, there is no other information available about the Zenfone 4 Max.
As seen with the earlier launched Zenfone Max devices, the upcoming device will also come with bigger battery capacity. The Zenfone 3 Max came with a 4,130mAh while the recently launched Zenfone 3S Max sports a whopping 5,000mAh battery. Based on the leaks, the upcoming device will come with a metal built unibody design and will run on Android 7.1 Nougat based highly customized ZenUI out of the box. The Zenfone 3S Max is the first ever Asus smartphone to launch with Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. The Zenfone 4 Max might feature the Snapdragon processor instead of MediaTek processor.
The Zenfone 3S Max is currently retailing for Rs. 14,999 and is exclusively sold through Flipkart in India. It sports an HD resolution display and is packs MediaTek 6750 SoC and 3GB of RAM. The device also came with a physical home button placed on the front that has an integrated fingerprint sensor.
