Sharp Aquas S2 Smartphone Leaks with in-display fingerprint scanner & Bezel-less 4K Panel
You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
Sharp has been making displays for many high-end devices in the market and now it is expected that the company might soon announce bezel-less devices. Sharp was the first to launch a bezel-less device called as Sharp Aquos Crystal way back in 2014 and now an alleged render of a new device – Sharp Aquas S2 (105 Limited Edition) leaked on Weibo with some high-end specifications.
According to these renders the Sharp Aquas S2 will come with a minimal bezel or bezel-less display and it is said to sport 4K resolutions on it. Not only this, the device is also said to sport the on-screen fingerprint scanner that Qualcomm announced in Shanghai earlier this year at MWC. It is expected that the technology will come to a smartphone by this year end and hence we assume this device to be showcased around that time of the year.
From the image renders, we can see that the S2 will be sporting dual rear camera setup. Well, nothing much about the specifications is known about the device yet but we can be assured that more leaks will be coming in the next few weeks. Recently two new Sharp phones codenamed as FS8016 and FS8010 were listed on Geekbench and sports 5.5-inch 1080p displays. These devices are also expected to come with 12MP + 8MP rear camera setup and will be coming with 6GB of RAM.
Although there is a difference in the chipset used as the FS8016 will be powered by Snapdragon 660 and the FS8010 will be powered by Snapdragon 330 processor. Well, we can expect more and more devices to come in the market with bezel-less technology and as Sharp was acquired by Foxconn due to financial problems it couldn’t make many devices with these displays.
