Samsung Releases A Tumi Edition Of The Gear S3 Frontier SmartWatch
You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
Samsung launched the new Gear S3 range of smartwatches earlier this year. Two variants were launched this year i.e. the Gear S3 Classic and the Gear S3 Frontier. We have reviewed the Gear S3 Frontier variant of the watch and you can read the full written review of the same here. Now, the company has launched a new variant of the same called the Tumi edition. You might already be aware of the fact that Samsung is already selling Tumi cases for the Galaxy S8 smartphone and this is yet another collaboration.
Talking about this new Tumi Edition of the watch, the only difference is the watch face on the front and also the TUMI watch band made from Italian canvas. This watch band has a stainless steel buckle as well to keep the watch in place. According to Samsung, the watch band is quite durable as well and hence one can use it while hiking or any other sports activities, without having to worry about it. The color of the band, which is earl grey, nicely compliments the color of the Gear S3 Frontier and gives it an elegant and minimal look. Other than that, pretty much everything remains the same.
For most people, this watch band might not the ideal selection since it is not the most elegant looking, however, the Gear S3 Frontier is more like an active variant of the watch and hence it should go pretty well. If you are in the market for an elegant offering, then be sure to check out the Gear S3 Classic. Now, talking about the pricing and availability, the Gear S3 Frontier Tumi edition is priced at $449 which roughly translates to about 32,000 INR. This is $100 more than the regular Frontier variant, which is, in fact, a lot of money for just a watch band and a custom watch face.
However, if you are in the market to buy one of these, you can get it from any Samsung retail stores and as of now, we are not sure if this variant will be available in India. Be sure to stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more details on that. Let us know your thoughts by leaving a comment down below.
