Honor 8 Pro Camera Review – Best Camera For The Price

Honor, the sub-brand of Huawei just recently launched the new Honor 8 Pro smartphone in India. This smartphone was launched along with the OnePlus 5, however, the Honor 8 Pro managed to make its mark and managed to stand out in the market. Well, there are a lot of features which makes this smartphone great, however, the camera is really powerful and it really manages to match the standards of few other flagships in the market as well.

The Honor 8 Pro has a dual camera setup at the back. In layman’s terms, there are two lenses at the back, out of which, one is for capturing the colors and the other one for monochrome, which will capture all the different details. This dual camera setup is accompanied by a dual-LED flash, phase-detection autofocus, laser focus, etc. The aperture size of the camera is f/2.2. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel sensor with a f/2.0 aperture size. So overall, on paper, the camera on this smartphone is really promising. Honor 8 Pro comes with support for microSD card using which you can expand the storage upto 128GB. Hence if you wish to take lots of photos and record a lot of videos, then the storage won’t be an issue after all. The camera interface is also really good on the Honor 8 Pro. As you can see from the screenshots embedded below, the Honor 8 Pro offers a variety of different shooting modes to choose from. Users have the freedom to choose any mode they want and all of them works perfectly fine. The app also offers a bunch of different options to choose from. There are options where the phone will automatically capture if it recognizes a smile. Overall, the shooting modes are a lot of fun the camera software is also really rewarding.

Verdict

The Honor 8 Pro offers a great camera performance at this price. It has really good sensors, both at the back as well as the front and one can take some really good looking images with these cameras. And apart from offering a good camera experience, the Honor 8 Pro is a really good performer as well, when it comes to day-to-day tasks. So if you stuck with a budget of 30,000 INR, then the Honor 8 Pro is a really sweet package with a camera that can give a tough competition to other smartphones priced similarly or higher.
