Lava Z60 4G VoLTE Smartphone With Android 7.0 Nougat Launched for Rs. 6,499

You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

The Indian mobile phone manufacturer Lava has launched a new entry-level smartphone called Lava Z60 in India. It comes with a price tag of Rs. 6,499 and will be sold through retail stores across the country. At this price, the device comes with very basic specifications which might not offer true Android experience. There are many other smartphones with better specifications than Lava Z60 and are priced under Rs. 5,000. Much like any other budget smartphone, the Lava Z60 also comes with a polycarbonate body and thicker bezels around the display.

Coming to the specifications of the device, it sports a 5-inch display with FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) resolution. It comes powered by an unknown quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz. The device offers just 1GB of RAM which might not be sufficient for multitasking. There is 16GB of onboard storage that can be further expanded via a MicroSD card slot. The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat based Star OS 4.1 UI out of the box. It also supports dual SIM dual standby but the 4G LTE connectivity is only limited to any one of the two SIMs.

In the camera department, there is a 5MP camera on the front and rear of the device. Both the cameras also come equipped LED flash. According to the company, the 5MP camera on this device features bokeh mode that blurs the background in the photos. While the other high-end smartphones offer bokeh effect with the help of dual cameras, the Lava Z60 does it by software enhancements. It is backed by a 2,600mAh battery which might not last more than a day of usage. The device measures 143.6 x 72.3 x 9.1 mm and weighs 149 grams.

Connectivity options on this device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio port, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. The Lava Z60 will be available in Gold and Black color options. If you can shop online, then the Redmi 4A priced at Rs. 6,999 is much better alternative with superior specifications. Even if you stay in the Metro cities, then you can get the device offline from Mi Home stores.
