Upcoming Honor 7X Will Be The First Honor Smartphone to Feature 18:9 Display
You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
Earlier this month, Huawei launched the Maimang 6 smartphone in China. It is the first Huawei smartphone to come with an 18:9 display but the resolution is only limited to Full HD+. The smartphone also came with dual camera setup both on the rear and front. Now, Honor is getting ready to unveil its first smartphone with the same 18:9 aspect ratio. Today, the company has posted the teaser image on Weibo confirming the launch of Honor 7X on October 11th in China. It will be the successor to the popular mid-range smartphone, Honor 6X.
The invites sent to the Chinese media also hints the device to display with 18:9 aspect ratio. As seen with the Maimang 6, the display on the upcoming Honor 7X might come with Full HD+ (2160 x 1440 pixels) resolution. Just like its predecessor, there will also be a dual camera setup on the rear of the Honor 7X. Even the fingerprint sensor can be spotted on the back of the device. We also expect the device to run on the Android 7.0 Nougat based in-house EMUI 5.1 out of the box. As of now, there is no other information about this device.
However, there are few leaks suggesting the device to come powered by Kirin 670 octa-core processor. As seen with the Honor 6X, the Honor 7X will also come with a unibody metal design. It might offer 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. On the rear, we might see with dual camera setup with a 12MP RGB sensor and a 12MP monochrome sensor. It is also expected to be backed by a 4,000mAh battery and should also support fast charging. After the official launch on October 11th in China, the company might soon bring this new device to India.
Almost one year after the launch, the Honor 6X is still one of the most popular mid-range smartphones on Amazon India. Next month, the company is rumored to launch the flagship Honor 9 smartphone in India. It sports a 5.15-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display and comes powered by 2.4GHz Kirin 960 octa-core processor. The Honor 9 also sports dual rear cameras featuring 20MP and 12MP sensors. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details about the upcoming Honor smartphones!
