You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
As of now, a few major smartphone manufacturers are offering all-screen displays with their devices. The new Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 and Apple iPhone X are the perfect examples. However, the smartphones with bendable displays are still in the development stage. Just before the new iPhones launch, Samsung confirmed the launch of foldable display smartphones in 2018. Even Lenovo has two devices in the development stage from the last couple of years. Surprisingly, ZTE is said to hit the market with a foldable smartphone called ZTE Axon M.
This is the same device which was leaked earlier as ZTE Axon Multy. Unlike others, ZTE is actually offering two displays on this device which are connected by a hinge. While there is no official confirmation, ZTE Axon M might go official on October 17th in the U.S. Both the displays on the Axon M will be offering Full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) resolution and when the device is unfolded, the total screen size goes up to 6.8-inches with a resolution of 2160 x 1920. If the leaks are to believed, the users can actually use two different apps on the two displays in full screen.
This smartphone should bridge the gap between the smartphone and tablet. Just like many other ZTE devices in the U.S, the upcoming Axon M will be carrier exclusive. It will be first available through AT&T and will be promoted as a perfect device for media consumption including DirecTV. Talking about the specifications, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor coupled with Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB of RAM. There will be 32GB of internal storage, and we also expect to see a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage.
It will come equipped with a single 20MP camera on this smartphone which will serve both as a front and rear camera. Mostly, the device should be running on Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box. The ZTE Axon M will be priced at $650 (approx Rs. 42,700). As of now, there are no details about the availability of the Axon M outside of the U.S. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more information!
