Gray Color Vivo X7 with 16MP Selfie Camera is now on Sale in China
In June this year, Vivo launched the Vivo X7 & X7 Plus smartphones as the successor to Vivo X6 & X6 Plus. With these two new smartphones, the company is directly competing with the OPPO R9 & R9 Plus which also comes with similar features. The Vivo X7 is priced at 2498 Yuan (approx $375 / Rs. 25,100) while the Vivo X7 Plus costs 2798 Yuan (approx $420 / Rs. 28,100). At the time of launch, both the devices are only available in Gold and Rose Gold color options.
Earlier this month, the company introduced the Vivo X7 in all new Gray color. Today the company had started the sale of this new color variant and is priced at 2498 Yuan, same as other color variants. These are also first Vivo smartphones to come with a physical home button on the front which also houses the fingerprint sensor. Till date the devices are only limited to just Chinese market while we expected them to be available in India and selected South-east Asian countries. Both the devices comes with dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE connectivity.
The Vivo X7 sports a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD resolution; the Vivo X7 Plus comes with a slightly larger 5.7-inch display with the same resolution. The devices are powered by the same Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 510 GPU. There is 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage that can be further expanded upto 128GB. TheVivo X7 & X7 Plus runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based FunTouch 2.5.1 OS.
The Vivo X7 sports a 13MP rear camera with PDAF and 16MP selfie camera. It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery that supports fast charging with dual chip charging technology. On the other hand, the Vivo X7 Plus comes with a 16MP sensor on rear and front while the rear sensor support PDAF for fast focusing. With the slightly larger form factor, the Vivo X7 Plus includes a 4,000mAh non-removable battery.
In India, the company launched the Vivo V3 & V3 Max smartphone in April this year. A couple of weeks back, the company announced Rs. 3,000 price cut on the earlier retailing price of Rs. 17,980. With the wide range of coverage in the offline market, the Vivo V3 priced at Rs. 14,980 will be a good alternative for any other device available in the market. On the other hand, the Vivo V3 Max is now selling at Rs. 19,980 instead of the launch price of Rs. 23,980.
Just like the Vivo X7 & X7 Plus, the V3 & V3 Max also runs on the years old Android 5.1 Lollipop based customised UI. Both these devices support 4G LTE along with VoLTE which makes usable with the Jio 4G services. Stay tuned as the Jio 4G is set to launch commercially starting from August 15th.
