Google Pixel Smartphone Press Renders Leaked Before the October 4th launch
Google is expected to launch a bunch of new products on October 4th launch event. Starting with Nexus replacement smartphones, new OS, and few other hardware products. Talking about the new Google Pixel smartphones, these are the replacement for Nexus devices that are launched till last year. While the Nexus devices come with manufacturers branding along with Nexus logo, but the upcoming Pixels smartphones will feature only Google brading.
We will be seeing two smartphones from Google – Pixel and Pixel XL, both these devices are manufactured by HTC. We already got the first look and specifications details about these devices from various leaks. But today Evan Blass posted the official press renders of the Pixel XL which looks same as in the earlier images. From the above images, we can also the redesigned UI. Both the Pixel smartphones come with Pixel Launcher with animated home button and lacks the app drawer icon.
The Google Pixel will feature a 5-inch Full HD display and comes powered by Snapdragon 820/821 quad-core processor. It has 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and a 2770mAh battery. On the camera front, the Pixel sports a 12MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. On the other hand, the Pixel XL sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD display and a bigger 3450mAh battery. Other specifications remains same as on Pixel. Both the devices come with 3.5mm audio port, fingerprint sensor and a USB Type-C port.
If the rumors are to be believed, the Pixel smartphone will be available starting from $649 in the U.S. The rumors also hints that the Pixel lineup will be costlier than the Nexus smartphones. For comparison, last year’s base variant of Nexus 5X was priced at $379. Along with both the Pixel smartphones, the Google will also launch the new 7-inch tablet running on the all new AndroMeda OS. The AndroMeda OS is said to be the mix of both Android and Chrome OS. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for details about the upcoming products from Google.
