Samsung Galaxy On8 with 5.5″ sAMOLED Display & 3GB RAM Launched at Rs. 15,900
A week after teasing the Galaxy On8 smartphone in India, the device is now launched at a price of Rs. 15,900. It comes with a metal body and is also the most affordable metal build Samsung smartphone in the country. The device is listed as ‘Coming Soon’ and is expected to go on sale during the Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale which starts from October 2nd.
It sports a 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. Compared to earlier Galaxy On devices, we can see the much powerful specifications on Galaxy On8. While we expected to Galaxy On8 to be powered by Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor, it comes with Exynos 7580 SoC octa-core processor. The device packs 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion upto 128GB.
Unlike the recently launched the Galaxy J7 Prime and Galaxy J5 Prime, the Galaxy On8 comes with the speaker placed on the rear of the device. The recently launched Galaxy On5 2016 and On7 2016 in China also featured the speaker on the right edge of the display. It features a 13MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera on the front. The physical home button on the front comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor.
It is a dual SIM dual standby smartphones and offers 4G VoLTE support. The device is kept powered on by a 3,300mAh battery that can give at least a day of usage. It measures a 7.8 mm thickness and weighs. The Galaxy On8 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with the TouchWiz UI laid on top. The device will be available in White, Gold , and Black color options.
