TCL 950 Smartphone with Snapdragon 820 SoC & 21MP Camera Officially Launched
As announced earlier, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer TCL launched its latest flagship smartphone TCL 950 today in China. This same device will be launched soon as Blackberry DTEK60 with a Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display. Talking about the design, it measures 6.99mm thickness and comes with a 2.5D arc glass on front and back of the device supported by an Aluminum frame. The power button is placed on the left edge while the volume rocker can be found on the right edge.
There is also a circular multi-function key on the right edge which can be customized to open certain apps by a single click or a double click. On the back of the device is the fingerprint sensor which also be used for authorizing mobile payments. It sports 5.5-inch AMOLED display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 500nits brightness. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor clocked at 2.15GHz and coupled with Adreno 530 GPU.
The TCL 950 comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded additionally upto 128GB. On the camera front, the device features a 21MP Sony IMX230 sensor with PDAF and f/2.2 aperture. There is also an 8MP selfie camera on the front with the same f/2.2 aperture. It supports dual SIM dual standby with the help of hybrid SIM slot where the users can opt for MicroSD card instead of secondary SIM.
It is backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery that also supports Quick Charge 3.0. The dual stereo speakers placed on the top and bottom edge provide the HiFi sound. According to the company, the users can also encrypt their WeChat conversations on this devices. Just like Dual Apps on Xiaomi’s MIUI8, the users of TCL 950 can also clone the apps, which means you can use two Whatsapp or WeChat accounts on the same device.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, A-GPS, and USB Type-C port. The device will be available in Gold and Silver color options.
