Smartisan, a Chinese smartphone manufacturing company is not quite popular outside of China. However, they are indeed capable of making some good smartphone. The company previously launched the Smartisan T2 smartphone back in December 2015. So it just about time for them to bring an upgrade to that smartphone in the market. And that’s exactly what we are looking at here. Smartisan is all set to launch a new smartphone called the Smartisan T3.

As mentioned earlier, this new Smartisan T3 is going to be an upgrade to the existing Smartisan T2 in terms of pretty much everything. This will have a new design and better internals as well. Talking about the specs of the device, we are looking at a Snapdragon 820 or 821 chipset. This one will also come with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. 6GB is something good to see here considering that not many smartphones in the market have it yet.

For the camera, it will sport a Sony IMX298 sensor at 16 megapixels at the back and on the front there will be an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. The device will be running a custom OS i.e. Smartisan OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 hopefully. As of now, this is all the info we have right now and we hope to find out more about the device soon in coming weeks. In any case, this will be a worthy upgrade to the existing Smartisan T2. The T2 also had a beautiful build with 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 on front and back of the device.

The T2 was powered by a Snapdragon 808 MSM8992 hexa-core processor coupled with Adreno 418 GPU and 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. It had a rear camera of 13MP 2nd Gen Exmor RS sensor f/2.0 aperture and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a 5-megapixel front facing selfie shooter. Now talking about the new Smartisan T3 smartphone it is reported that the device will be launched on October 18th so we will definitely get to know more about the device in weeks. Stay tuned for more info on this.
