Sony Xperia XZ with 3GB RAM & 23 MP Camera Launched in India at Rs 51,990
Sony has released their new handset, Xperia XZ in India with a price tag of Rs 51,990 (while best buy price is Rs 49,990). The handset that was announced at IFA this year alongside X Compact smartphone. The new Xperia XZ is another handset in the line of X Series smartphones that company introduced earlier this year in Barcelona at MWC. As they have ditched the Z lineup, the brand seems to be focusing on marketing it’s X Series.
The Xperia XZ uses a new trademarked Aluminium material called ALKALEIDO. The material is said to be extremely smooth and said to give premium feel in hand. The device is said to be IP65/68 rated, which means water and dust resistant. It comes with a 5.2-inch IPS FULL HD display that has Corning Gorilla glass to protect from scratch. Under the hood, the present is a Quad-core Snapdragon 820 chipset that is the flagship chipset. It is coupled with a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 256 GB via microSD card.

There is a dual-SIM variant as well, with 64GB internal storage, the fun fact is that company has launched only 64GB model with dual SIM capability using hybrid SIM slot. It would be running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based custom interface out of the box. Regarding the connectivity options, it has an NFC, Bluetooth, Cat 4 LTE, GPS, GLONASS and a USB Type-C port. The fingerprint sensor is integrated on the power button present on the right edge. How ideal that position is can be debated but not today.
Regarding the camera department, the Xperia XZ sports a new 23MP IMX300 sensor that includes triple sensing autofocus – PDAF, Color Detection, and Laser. Together these three make up for faster focusing on an object. Unfortunately, there is no OIS; the instead of company relies on their SteadShot Intelligent Active mode feature that uses 5-axis to make a correction. It is said to correct angle, roll as well as shifts shakes. The front-facing module is of 13MP that should be ideal for selfie lover nation. Do make a note that Sony now offers manual controls in their camera app. You can shoot 4K videos and Slow-Motion videos as well. All this is powered by a 2900 mAh capacity battery.
